Mario Memmoli graduated from the University of Florence, then specialized in landscape architecture in Milan. In 1989, they founded Lolli e Memmoli Architetti, designing projects ranging "from the spoon to the city" including, whenever needed, lamps for their interiors. Especially because in the early 1990s, interiors were plasterboard boxes with built-in spotlights. If you wanted to hang up a lamp, you had to reinvent everything.
